Removing "Club 33" is a bless more than a mess
For too many reasons getting rid of "club 33" is a bless especially to the residents of Zamalek.
First, think of it from an environmental perspective, look at the problems the place was causing."Club 33" was built in the Middle of Abu El Feda Street. It was built on the Nile River, which had caused polluting the water more than it was already polluted. In addition, to the noise pollution that the guests of the club were causing on a daily basis.
Second, it had caused problems in traffic, not just "Club 33" also other cafes and restaurants that were located in Zamalek caused the same obstacle. It's very hard for the residents to park their cars and the traffic is always blocked especially at Abu El Feda Street.
Third, "Club 33's" cafes and restaurants were offering Shisha (Hookah), which was polluting the air especially to the buildings that were located beside and near the club. In addition, to the junk food that is known as "unhealthy food" universally that the cafes and restaurants of "club 33" were offering.
Fourth, in any developed country for every region, area or town there is a law that limits the numbers of cafes and restaurants and places that give the same services/products. In Zamalek, there is a huge number of Cafes and restaurants and in Zamalek's Island generally. "Club 33," for example some of their cafes and restaurants were already located in other streets in Zamalek like Coffee Shop Company.
Finally, although the decision for removing "Club 33" was right, but the way it was handled by the government was wrong. The government should have given them a notice or a warning that this will be done for limiting and decreasing the number of causalities that they had caused. We also really appreciate the rights of the workers, the employers and the owners of the cafes and restaurants of "Club 33." But at the end we want to ensure everyone that locating "club 33" at this place was very wrong from the beginning.
